This is sort of a self portrait, or maybe a self silhouette of me in the alfalfa field. It was another night with an amazing full moon so I couldn’t resist.
To get to the place where I’m standing in this photo I had to jump over a big irrigation ditch, whilst my 10-second camera timer is beeping. This time I didn’t quite make it over the ditch and tripped and fell into the alfalfa (footnote: alfalfa isn’t soft grass, in fact it’s more of a thorn than grass). So I almost got a picture of me laid out in the grass with the itchy legs to prove it. But that’s part of the fun of photography… at night… in alfalfa.
